Bring it on 2009, Give me your best shot!
New Year's is a funny time. We reflect back on what's happened to us. We look forward to what we could accomplish. We act like the possibilities are endless and what lies ahead is surely better than what lies behind us. I tend to agree. What lies ahead is surely better and within our grasp. What we've left behind is lost. Lessons learned are all we take with us. However, one thing I won't do is make any New Year's resolutions. Goals made just because it's a new year are destined to fail. So instead of goals, how about a firm resolve, an optimistic outlook, and a little more luck in 2009 than we had in 2008. Cheers!
